Kate, although she didn't know it at the time, has been involved in the swim school since birth.  Laurie and Jocelyn decided to document and record Kate's learn to swim progress after successfully teaching their oldest daughter, Jane, to swim from 1975.

The methods Laurie and Jocelyn used with all three of their girls are still an integral part of the LLSS program today, and the video footage of Kate is still used in Laurie's lectures around the world, and for LLSS staff training purposes.

Kate started working in the swim schools part time in 1996 while she was completing high school and continued throughout her university studies.   She graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Communication (majoring in journalism) and has been heavily involved in all aspects of the family business since.

Whether she is in the water teaching or working behind the scenes in administration, Kate loves being involved in the swimming industry.
